This weekend I went to my girlfriend's, Erin wedding in Geronimo, Texas.
Erin and her now husband, Shane met seven months ago, got engaged on Christmas day and now are on their way to Hawaii for their honeymoon.
Quite the whirlwind.
So my bud Aimee and I drove out to parts unknown. The wedding was outside on the ranch under two oak trees as we sat down on hay bales covered with burgundy blankets.
Sitting waiting for the wedding to begin...

Roxanne & Julie at the wedding reception
So funny story, I am sitting at the table eating BBQ at the reception when this adorable couple sat down at the table: mom, dad, two girls and a little boy. We started talking about the wedding and how we know the bride. All of as sudden, Aly, the mom stops and says, "Wait, you aren't the Roxanne on The River are you?"
"Why, yes. I am."
Turns out that Aly was listening Saturday morning when I was talking about weddings. I have a theory:
There is no longer a wedding season. People are getting married whenever they feel like it.
I personally have been to four wedding since January. I mentioned that I was headed to the New Braunfels area that day. While Aly was driving with her family to the wedding she turned to her husband and said, "I wonder if Roxanne is going to Erin's wedding."
Aly and her sweet family...
Small world! I was going to the wedding and Aly and I ended up meeting each other.
