Ahhh to be 17 Again...

With the new movie "17Again" coming out today, it got me thinking about what I would do differently if I were 17 Again...

When I turned 17 I was at the end of my senior year and ready to begin college at Baylor. I was pretty much a goodie-two-shoes...but I do wonder at times what life would be like if I had done things differently. Like go to a different college, after all I left everyone I knew in AZ to head to Waco, TX. Or what if I pledged a sorority instead of an all guys fraternity (another story for another time). But when it came down to it, I couldn't think of anything monumental I would change at age seventeen. That said I am glad to be 30.

Much more interesting than me...Here is what you had to say...

Better hair, drive on the freeway, and take a dance class (The Dobson High School Dance Company seemed liked they had so much fun).

I'd do the same only love harder and breathe in every moment like it was my last!

I'd break up with my boyfriend (sweet though he was) and date more. And I'd get less angry at my parents; it is hard work raising a kiddo!

I would concentrate more on grades, volunteer work, faith, friends, and less on boyfriends! High schoolers are not equipped to have serious relationships, what were we thinking?!?
Elizabeth Newlin at 8:27am April 16
I would actually listen in class and do my homework. :)
Rebecca Perry King at 8:42am April 16
I would have focused MUCH LESS on my high school boyfriend! Nice guy but I think my world revolved around him... at 17 that was just nuts. I would have also appreciated my parents more! They knew so much more than I ever thought.
Cyn McGrailat 8:54am April 16
Go to the University of Virginia instead of my "other" choice. But the things we do for men, even at 17!!!

I'm seeing a trend here....wish I knew some high school girls to advise!

Oooh, what a good sum up. I actually am going to be hanging with my 8th grade girls this weekend. Think I know what I wisdom I will look to casually impart.

I love all the comments... Isn't it funny how wise we get and we still don't know anything!
Hallie Hosch Carl at 10:21am April 16
I think we could all say better hair! I would also add some changing of some things that went down with close friends senior year. Sad stuff. I would also have made smarter choices in relationships.
Rachelle Park at 11:33am April 16
I would to go to school abroad! And focus on traveling more while the responsibilities are still minimal.

Oh, add to my list what [the person above] said. I'd have planned (not just dreamed) of studying abroad.
