You may have heard The River's "Dating Game" on air the last couple weeks. We were setting up our web guy, Zac with a River listener. Susie, is quite the matchmaker. You voted on the final six and Larin, won. The two are going on a date tonight!
Well I spent Saturday evening with my precious 8th grade girls from church. They were having a slumber party and although I opted out of spending the night, I went to see 17 Again (LOVED IT!) with them, have dinner, and hang out.
As I walked into Brooke's house (headquarters for the night), they sat me down at the dining room table. They wanted to discuss something with me. (I felt the ambush coming on, but I didn't know what it was regarding.) So I sat down, and they asked me:
8th: Roxanne do you have a boyfriend?
Rox: No
8th: Good! Because we have the guy for you.

Apparently Brooke's softball coach is my age, single, good-looking, upstanding guy...
They showed me a picture on their itty bitty phone. What I could see looked pleasant.
They were going to call him and have him come over to surprise me, but Brooke's mother saved me and told them no.
However, Brooke's family is having a crawfish boil next month...the girls invited me, told me he would be there, and told me, "don't worry, we will be there too!" Ha ha...
Love my girls...I guess women 'matchmake' at all ages.

[We] were set up by our friend, Megan. It was an instant connection, even from long distance. Never saw it coming, but I'm so glad it happened when it did.
[We] were set up by a friend in college. We always say if we have a girl we think that we might name her after our friend.
My husband and I were a blind date-we will be married 24 years on the 4th of July
Ok, no success story, but why not girl? Life is short, have fun!! :)
