I tweeted and facebooked a declaration that today was "Roxanne Wears No Makeup Day." Kind of liberating. I even went as far to take a picture. Ha ha I got a lot of online support, and also a heads up that "No Makeup" is becoming a trend...who knew?
It seems that the French version of Elle magazine is doing an entire issue featuring women with no makeup AND no airbrushing...and here I thought I was being original. Read the article here.
The article challenges US magazines to get on the no make up train.
I second that. Why not?
And for the record, no one looked at me funny. I had meetings, talked to people who I held in regard, and it didn't really phase me. That is until after I was done...each time I left a meeting or stopped talking to someone, I remembered that there was no makeup on my mug. But it really wasn't bad.
Try it; I dare you...
Would you go to work for a day without makeup?
